Brownstone Architects Brooklyn

Studio Delson are expert brownstone architects in Brooklyn. We have extensive experience working in landmarked districts to  transform old homes into modern, functional spaces while honoring their historic context. We understand the historic significance of period facades and recognize the challenges of the brownstone layout, including its narrow width with windows only on two ends and a dark core. At Studio Delson, we combine original architectural elements, such as moldings, fireplaces, and staircases, with contemporary design to improve both the functionality and aesthetic of the home. Our approach ensures that each renovation respects the building’s history while enhancing its usability for modern living.

As Brooklyn architects, we work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop a design that customizes their brownstone. This might include reworking the layout for better flow, adding a rooftop or rear extension, selecting a palette of high-end finishes, or updating systems for improved energy efficiency. We collaborate with skilled craftspeople to select durable materials that ensure the longevity of the building. Our ability to balance the careful restoration of historic features with modern design and systems makes us a preferred choice for homeowners looking to revitalize brownstones while preserving their unique character. Clients can trust that their brownstone will be transformed into a beautiful, lasting home that honors its past while adapting to the future.
