Often, that begins by reconfiguring apartments to establish a more logical flow between spaces, ensuring circulation feels natural and every area serves a clear purpose. Opening floor plans can allow light deeper into the home, improve sightlines, strengthen connectivity between spaces, and create a greater sense of openness. Other times, the most impactful improvements come through subtle adjustments, such as the width of a doorway or the alignment of a passage.
Equally important is optimizing the qualities that make each apartment unique. We carefully consider access to natural light, views, storage, and the existing architecture to create spaces that feel both generous and highly functional. By concentrating storage within darker interior areas of the plan, we preserve the perimeter for gracious living spaces shaped by natural light and views. Custom millwork and multifunctional elements further maximize usability while maintaining the openness and character of the home. We also evaluate whether our intervention should enhance or thoughtfully contrast the existing architecture, selecting materials, finishes, and furnishings that contribute to a cohesive whole.
