Greenwood Studios
This building had been a sweat shop, and it showed. The interior was dark and cluttered, with little random windows punched through the facades. To make the most of the tiny budget, we cut giant windows into the outer walls. This one upgrade elevated the building from messy to monumental. Now, the once dark interiors serve as airy design studios. Broad squares of sunlight wash over floors of polished concrete and maple plywood sliced into planks. Best of all are the expansive views of Greenwood Cemetery and the harbor beyond.
