Partnering with local artisans: Highlights of our current Prospect Heights Brownstone project
We seize the opportunity to collaborate with talented local artisans whenever we can. At our current Prospect Heights Brownstone renovation, Brooklyn-based finish specialists Gray Lewis and Omar Yacoub are adding depth with modern plaster finishes, enlivening the historic past of the building by saving original plaster detail, while talented textile artist Elodie Blanchard, whose work is featured in many of our favorite projects, is enriching the interplay amongst material, craft, and context, with whimsical embroidery on a felt room divider. Located in the Prospect Heights historic district, we’re returning this once majestic brownstone to its original single-family occupancy with all new building systems carefully woven through a design that balances modern intervention with preservation of the building’s history. Stay tuned for updates as this project reaches completion.
DUMBO x Design and springtime open studios
We’re thrilled to be participating in the second annual DUMBO x Design day on Wednesday 20 May! We’ll be hosting open studios at our DUMBO office and look forward to connecting with our creative neighbors and other design enthusiasts.
We’ll also be participating in DUMBO First Thursdays gallery walk on 7 May, holding open studios for guests to view Accumulated Matter. Come independently, or register for the Insider’s Tour for a full tour of participating studios and gallery spaces.
