Summer News from Studio Delson

To sum-up our summer, we’re checking in with recent news about our studio. Read ahead for a spotlight on new projects, programming for our upcoming artist exhibition, and a recap of our summer of architecture and community events.

Recently Completed Project – Cobble Hill Secret House

Tucked behind the main house, this hidden back house was refreshed and legalized as living space, with a compact, colorful kitchen and playful upstairs living room designed around the owner’s art collection. Meanwhile, structural and drainage upgrades to the former factory’s subcellar transformed a damp, compromised space into clean, durable storage. The result is a colorful, characterful retreat quietly strengthened for years to come.

Recent Community Arts Events at Boerum Hill House

The Boerum Hill House became a performance space twice in recent months. Read below to learn more and support the work of some wonderfully talented artists.

We had a huge turnout for American Contemporary Music Ensemble’s (ACME) house concert / fundraising performance of Artistic Director Clarice Jensen’s new ballet score, composed for the Canadian dance company ZemmourBallet.

We were delighted to host Stephanie Trudeau’s live performance of her musical Becoming Chavela — a powerful celebration of the life and legacy of Chavela Vargas, celebrated at the Boerum Hill House during pride month.
